At TechNode, we raised a question about “How Many Pinterests Do We Need” couple months ago, and now the question could be modified to “how many Pinterests Does Taobao Need” as the largest Chinese B2C site is launching a new visual sharing service soon under its Etao subsidiary.

Etao is reportedly beta testing a Pinterest-like social sharing service Etao Faxian (like.etao.com). It epitomized the common elements of Pinterest like the waterfall layout and the pinning and sharing feature.

Etao is the price engine crafted by Taobao.

Taobao the parent company of Etao launched Taobao WOW last year to tap into the Pinterest fever and compete with Meilishuo, Mogujie and other social ecommerce service.
