RoboSense reported its first quarterly profit since inception in the fourth quarter of 2025, with net profit reaching RMB104 million ($14.5 million) and revenue rising 46.1% year-over-year to RMB751 million. The company said this marked a clear inflection point in its operations, driven in large part by rapid growth in its robotics business.
The robotics segment emerged as the standout for the year. RoboSense said robotics LiDAR shipments reached about 303,000 units in 2025, ranking first globally, while fourth-quarter robotics sales surged 2,565.1% year-over-year to about 221,200 units. Revenue from the robotics business reached RMB347 million in the quarter, accounting for about 49% of total product sales.
For the full year, total LiDAR shipments rose 67.6% year-over-year to about 912,000 units, with annual revenue reaching RMB1.94 billion ($269.6 million). Gross margin rose to 26.5%, while gross profit increased 81.3% year-over-year to RMB514 million. Looking ahead, RoboSense said it will continue its dual-engine strategy across ADAS and robotics in 2026, with planned annual production capacity set to expand to 4 million units.
