Started in 2007 by Dr. Lu Gang, TechNode began as one man’s attempt to tell the world about what’s happening in China’s tech and startup ecosystems. Since that time, we have grown into a trusted and respected information outlet, events organizer, and an integral part of the tech and startup community both inside and outside of China.

With a vast network in global innovation and entrepreneurship, China-based TechNode is at the center of a unique worldwide tech ecosystem of startups, venture capital firms, industry resources, and corporate partners. TechNode has six business units, including TN Media, TN Inno (corporate innovation services), TN Global (Asia), TN Events (branding and event services), TN Data (startup ecosystem database), and TN VC (venture capital and financing services). Through these initiatives, TechNode supports and bridges the startup ecosystem between China and the rest of the world. From 2013 to 2019, TechNode was the exclusive China partner of TechCrunch, organizing TechCrunch conferences in China.

TN Media: TN Media focuses on Chinese technology, startups, and venture capital, reporting natively in both English and Chinese. We provide daily and weekly updates on the latest happenings and events in the Chinese tech space through articles, videos, podcasts, newsletters, and more. We educate our international audience by providing accurate and unbiased coverage, in-depth analysis, and helpful insights on essential information and trends.

Both sites stress ethical and professional journalism; respect for our sources, the companies we cover, and other stakeholders; and, of course, a passion for the stories we cover.

TN Inno: As a pioneer in corporate innovation, TN Inno’s services are deeply rooted in our global vision. We have entered in-depth partnerships with a series of corporations to establish a brand new innovation ecosystem with strategic innovation plans, event operation, incubator operation, advisory service for connecting resources along the industrial chain, and venture capital. We aim to accelerate the modernization process of traditional companies and speed up their diversification and digitalization.

TN Global: TN Global is a platform to bridge technology and innovation between China and the rest of the world. We aim to be the #1 pan-Asia tech-focused platform with a focus on cross-border business, events, and tailor-made marketing solutions for startups, VCs, corporates, and other industry pioneers.

TN Events: TN Events has already become an appealing brand through our work on TechCrunch International Summit, the annual award ceremony ChinaBang and global cross-disciplinary-themed events that marry technology with various industries. It is an open and international communication platform for innovators and entrepreneurs.

Each year we hold three events throughout China. Our annual innovation and entrepreneurship awards ceremony ChinaBang sees the best and brightest of China get recognized for their contributions to their community and industries. On top of ChinaBang, we also organize big tech conferences to connect the Chinese startup community with the rest of the world. Featuring the Startup Alley, VC Meetup, Hackathon, and discussions on the main stage, our tech events bring together hungry startups, VCs looking for their next investment, and the companies that are shaping China’s future.

TN Data: TN Data connects professional data with other TechNode business units to offer data retrieval and multi-dimensional data analysis to startups, projects, and investment institutions. It also provides open tools and platforms for startup competitions, salons, and VC meetups.

TN VC: TN VC is focused on Asian innovations and aims to establish an investment ecosystem in the region. We provide one-stop service to clients from business plan ideation to funding reception, making overseas expansion strategies for local firms as well as drafting localization plans for foreign companies in China. Backed by resources from the parent company, TN VC has maintained a close relationship with thousands of VC firms at home and abroad, which grants us fast access to a diversified list of investment targets. TN VC plans to set up affiliated VC funds in the future to seek investment targets that have high growth potential as well as to accelerate their growth cycle.
