Chinese video-streaming platform Tencent Video announced on Wednesday that it will increase subscription fees by up to 25%. It’s the second time the company has increased its subscription fees within the past 13 months, with prices rising by around 20% last April. The adjustments mainly focus on the platform’s automatic renewal billing plan, which offered a discount compared to its standard billing plan. According to the announcement, users can still enjoy the discount price until they change their billing plan manually. Tencent Video’s rivals iQiyi and Mango TV also announced price rises by the end of 2021. [Jiemian, in Chinese]
