Chinese gaming giant NetEase announced a new role-playing title at the Tokyo Game Show 2022 on Thursday, in partnership with famous Japanese publisher Shueisha’s gaming arm. The title, unVEIL the world, will be available on mobile platforms, including iOS and Android. It has an epic background story “centered on a huge tower and dynamic characters who take on challenges presented by the tower,” according to the official introduction. The title’s characters have been designed by notable comic artist Posuka Demizu, who previously published a series in Shueisha-owned manga anthology Weekly Shōnen Jump. As one of China’s biggest gaming firms, NetEase has long eyed expansion into the Japanese market and earlier this year established Nagoshi Studio in the country, led by former Sega producer Toshihiro Nagoshi.
