BYD is in advanced talks with British car dealer Pendragon to form a partnership for selling vehicles, which will give the Chinese manufacturer an opportunity to introduce its electric vehicles to Europe’s second-biggest auto market, Bloomberg reported on Wednesday. In August, the Chinese EV giant announced plans to begin selling passenger EVs in Germany and Sweden from October, collaborating with European car dealer Hedin Mobility. Sales of battery EVs reached 190,727 units in the UK in 2021, marking a 76% growth from a year earlier and taking an 11.6% share of the country’s new car market, official figures showed. [Bloomberg]
