Huawei’s HarmonyOS 3 will officially roll out to an initial batch of devices in mid-October after a month of public testing. The company will launch the new system on 23 models, including 20 types of phone, two watch models, and a tablet. Huawei also revealed a list of 15 models that will be eligible for its beta program. Eligible devices must register for the program before 9 a.m on Thursday. First revealed on July 27, HarmonyOS 3 is a Huawei-developed system originating from open-source projects, with the new version introducing more features to its ecosystem such as an updated “Super Terminal” that will add the ability to connect and control a range of devices, including PCs, smartwatches, and phones.
