Chinese display makers recorded 30.4% of the global Active Matrix OLED (AMOLED) supplement for smartphones in the third quarter of 2022, according to Chinese display industry consultancy CINNO Research. In the third quarter of 2021, the proportion was 20.4%. Samsung still dominates the market with 60% of the global AMOLED display shipments for smartphones in the reported quarter. However, its shipments saw a yearly decline of 21.9%. Chinese display maker BOE shipped 17.5 million units of AMOLED display used for smartphones in the third quarter of this year, accounting for 12.7% of the global market.
