Tesla is recalling nearly 81,000 electric vehicles in China to fix problems, including a software bug that can lead to an incorrect estimation of battery state on 67,698 imported Model S and Model X produced between 2013 and 2020. The recall also covers over 10,000 locally made Model 3 from 2019 to 2022 and nearly 2,800 imported sedans from 2019. Both models have seatbelts that may not properly restrain a passenger in a crash, the US automaker said in a document posted on Friday by the State Administration for Market Regulation.
