Two people died and one was wounded on Monday when a Tesla Model Y rear-ended a small vehicle and then crashed into another in the eastern Chinese city of Taizhou. The cause of the accident is still under investigation, local media outlets quoted traffic police. The US automaker said it is actively providing assistance to Chinese police for the probe, without commenting further. This was the second deadly crash reported by Chinese media in a month. On Nov. 5, another accident involving a Model Y crossover killed two people and injured three in the southern city of Chaozhou, which a family member of the driver blamed on the sudden acceleration and brake failure of the car.
