Alibaba-owned workplace app DingTalk has amassed 600 million users and more than 23 million enterprise organization accounts as of the end of September this year, according to figures released at a press conference for the employee management tool’s latest version held in Hangzhou on Wednesday. Ye Jun, president of DingTalk, also revealed for the first time that the platform’s paid daily active users have reached 15 million, telling Chinese media outlet Caixin that the increase in this segment of users is key to the app’s monetization process. Launched in 2014, the Slack-like workplace platform was given stricter commercialization goals this March as parent company Alibaba faced slowing revenue growth. [Caixin, in Chinese]
