Fast fashion retailer Shein is set to open five pop-up stores in Brazil, with the first due to open in the country’s fourth-largest city Belo Horizonte in early 2023, Chinese media outlet 36Kr reported on Wednesday. Shein has opened pop-up stores in major cities around the world this year, including London, Tokyo, Sydney, and New York, in a move to accelerate its offline presence as well as interact with consumers. The brand’s pop-up experience usually lasts two to seven days, offering shoppers the opportunity to try clothing in person before purchasing through the Shein app. The 36Kr report noted that beyond Belo Horizonte the other four cities and specific opening dates for the pop-ups have not yet been decided.
