Bigme, a Chinese e-reader and e-note brand, has released the inkNote Color+, claiming it to be the world’s first 10.3-inch Kaleido 3 color ink e-note, at a pre-sale price of RMB 5,499 (around $793). Kaleido 3 is the latest generation of color e-paper from E INK, the US-based electronic paper brand. It uses RGB color display principles based on Print Color ePaper technology to present natural-looking electronic paper. Kaleido 3 offers richer colors with a 30% increase in color saturation compared to its predecessor, Kaleido Plus. The technology can display 4,096 colors with 150 PPI and is designed for large-screen devices such as 7.8, 10.3, and 13.3 inches. The inkNote Color+ comes in a slightly larger size than Bigme’s inkNote Color, but shares many of the same specs with its predecessor beyond the Kaleido upgrade, including an 8 megapixel rear camera and 5 megapixel front camera. The device comes with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage and runs on Android 11. [IThome, in Chinese]
