TikTok’s parent company ByteDance launched a new music streaming service entitled TikTok Music in Brazil and Indonesia on July 6, according to Reuters. The move comes as the company intends to discontinue its existing music streaming service Resso in both countries starting September 5. TikTok Music will offer three monthly plans priced between 8.5 reais ($1.73) and 26.9 reais ($5.47) in Brazil, according to information on its website. These prices are slightly lower than those offered by Spotify, currently the leading player in the music streaming service industry. [Reuters]
