Ant International and Google are working together on a new open standard aimed at enabling artificial intelligence-driven commerce, according to a reporter from China Star Market. The two companies are jointly promoting the Universal Commerce Protocol (UCP), an emerging framework designed to support so-called Agentic Commerce, in which AI agents can autonomously assist users throughout the shopping process.
