NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang arrived in Shanghai on Jan.23 on his first visit to China in 2026, inspecting the company’s newly opened office in the Zhangjiang district, people familiar with the matter said. Huang met with employees, answered staff questions and reviewed the company’s key developments in 2025, the sources added. NVIDIA employs nearly 4,000 people in China, up 50% to 60% over the past few years, with more than 2,000 staff based at its Shanghai research and development centre.
