On Tuesday, Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun said during a livestream that the first-generation Xiaomi SU7 has been discontinued, with the final olive-green unit shipped to a long-time Mi fan who chose the original model as a keepsake. Deliveries of the first SU7 began in April 2024, and production ended in January 2026 after nearly 370,000 units were built, according to the company. Xiaomi said the production halt will free capacity for a next-generation SU7 featuring upgrades including LiDAR and an 800-volt high-voltage platform. The new model is expected to launch in April and has received close to 100,000 orders within about two weeks of presales. [TechNode Reporting]
