China has released its first national-level standard framework for humanoid robots and embodied artificial intelligence, according to state broadcaster CCTV. The document, titled the Humanoid Robot and Embodied Intelligence Standard System (2026 edition), was unveiled at an industry standardization meeting in Beijing.

The framework covers the full industrial chain and lifecycle of humanoid robots and includes standards related to core technologies, complete systems, applications, and safety and ethics.
