Pinju Founder Considering Suing Shanda: Pinju, the online ecommerce company which just announced closing down last week is considering suing Shanda. Basically, the thing is Ge Binbin, founder of Pinju said Shanda confirmed to invest in Pinju while the gaming vendor denied Ge’s claims by saying “we made it clear earlier last year that we’re not involving in this.”
Qihoo360 to Team up with CNTV: Qihoo360 has achieved a “comprehensive strategic cooperation” agreement with China’s state-run China Network Television CNTV from disparate aspects like brand co-building, account binding, content sharing and marketing. Qihoo 360 will introduce CNTV app into its Security Desk software as well as build CNTV branded browser for the online TV network.
Qihoo360 Set up JV with UUU9: Qihoo360 is to set up a JV with Chinese gaming portal UUU9.com. Qihoo360 will hold 80% of the new JV, which is positioned as an open platform for online games.
Liberation for Gaojie.com: Chinese Gilt Groupe Gaojie.com partnered with French fashion brand liberation for limited edition Liberation for Gaojie.com handbag collections, the first ever team-up between a Chinese fashion site and a foreign fashion brand.
Launched in September of 2011 by former VP of fashion portal Li Yun, Gaojie.com is aiming to be the Chinese Gilt Groupe with similar approach to provide customers with exquisite yet affordable fashion items. The company has its own fashion buyers in the States and European cities.
