SAIF Partners China has reportedly invested US$ 10 million into Beijing-based early childhood education company Xuehuile.com.cn, a subscription-based business targeting children aged from one to six aiming to provide them with monthly reading materials, picture books, multimedia CD, toys, handicrafts, exercise books and so forth.

Li Yang, the company’s co-founder and CEO is also a founding member of Chinaren (being acquired by Sohu.com and now a part of Sohu’s matrix sites) back in the early stage of Chinese Internet business.

There’re more than 20 million new born babies in China and children aged between 0 and 6 are nearly 100 million,according to Yang Dong, partner of SAIF Partners China. The sheer market size is big enough with great potential as parents are more inclined to invest heavily into their child.
