An insider from Qihoo disclosed that the company had branched out its agents for search advertising in eight regions, Beijing, Shanghai, Zhejiang province, Jiangsu province, Guangdong province, Hebei province, Shandong province and Henan province.

Three advertising products are offered. The first one is paid search. The second one is somewhat like Baidu’s Brand Zone, featuring display ads for brands on search result pages. The third one are ad placements, shown as links to web services recommended based on a user’s browsing history, on the default start-up page and sub-channels of 360 browsers.

Another insider from Qihoo’s exclusive agency in Beijing revealed that a search result page features 3 ads on the left and 8 on the right. At present the advertisers are relatively few and the price more favorable, far cheaper than Baidu’s. Currently, only the paid search is open to agents.
