The latest data released by iQiyi read that the monthly accumulated amount of users on mobile devices quadrupled to approximately 200 million year on year. Gong Yu, CEO of iQiyi, disclosed in March that mobile traffic had accounted for 37% of the total.

One week ago iQiyi announced that its advertising system started supporting cross-platform ad placement and had obtained first ad orders that would be featured across PC, iOS and Android.

2013 is seen by many Chinese video sites as the year to start monetizing mobile traffic. Youku Tudou released mobile ad offerings in April. Sohu also plans to roll out mobile ads in the third quarter of this year, as its management disclosed on the latest earnings call.
