Face++, a face recognition technology provider, reportedly received millions of dollars in Series A Financing from Innovation Works (in Chinese).  Last year it raised seed funding from Legend Star(an incubation program of Lenovo).

With its API, independent applications can have capabilities of detection, identification, analysis and search of faces. Face++ claims they have processed 5 million faces that helps with performance. It now supports apps on Amazon Web Service and Aiyun (the Cloud platform developed by Alibaba).

Its free plan offers basic API services while paid monthly plans are available depending on how many more calls an application is needed per month. The prices are also different based on where apps are hosted, on AWS or Aliyun.

Angel Eyes is another Chinese company offering similar API services. Differences include Angel Eyes is working on image in general and video recognition as well.
