It is reported that Baidu bought UUCUN, a mobile solution  and service provider for $5 million. (via Sohu IT) Previously the company had raised millions of dollars from investors including Intel.

The company offers app store solutions. Its 300 clients range from smartphone manufacturers to ROM developers.

UUCUN also runs a mobile advertising network that has had integrated one thousand advertisers and 50 thousand developers.

As it has developers and content on its platform, it works as an app distributor, too. At our 2013 ChinaBang Shanghai, Hu Li, vice president of UUCUN, disclosed that mobile game distribution on their platform grew by 40% monthly.

Headquartered in Shanghai and with offices in cities including Shenzhen, UUCUN now has about 200 employees.
