It is also a good option for parents who want their children to learn, but hesitate in making an investment until they are sure that piano lessons are the right choice.

After receiving orders on the website, Piano Rental will deliver brand new Spring or other branded pianos to home of the clients on a cash on delivery basis. The installing staff will help out in tuning the piano. The bottom monthly leasing fee is 198 yuan ($32.12) for a period of at least one year with a returnable deposit. The renting fees varies depends on the piano selected.

The company planned to establish cooperation relationship with piano brands and become a sales channel, because the customers may eventually buy the pianos if they like the rented ones. In addition, Piano Rental also provides some value-added services, such as piano training.

The company focused on piano students with one to two years of learning experiences, which account for 70% of the total piano student. The company’s service network now covers 14 major cities nationwide, such as, Beijing, Shanghai, Lanzhou, Najing and Hangzhou.

With a registered capital of 1 million yuan, Dingdang Internet Technology, the operator of Piano Rental, was founded in March 2011. The company has received angel investment from STEP. Piano Rental aims to record 4.21 million yuan of revenue this year by leasing 800 pianos and expects its revenue to reach 19.5 million yuan by leasing 500 pianos per year by 2015. The clients of Piano Rental include, Huayi Brothers, Shanghai Television Station, Jiangsu Television Station and several piano competitions.
