LINE, a messaging app with 230 million users worldwide, kicked off partnership with Wandoujia or SnapPea, China’s leading Android app store, to expand business in Chinese market. On the other hand, LINE Korean headquarter clarified that the company will not suspend cooperation with former partner Qihoo 360, which will be an important but not the only partner of LINE in China.

The company will seek for more cooperation partners in the second half of this year, because Qihoo 360 will not satisfy all the needs of LINE, said Frank Lee, Greater China head of the firm, when having an interview with Tencent Technology. LINE will continue to cooperate with NetEase in content, team up with Qihoo 360, Wandoujia and 91 in promotion and develop technology with Baidu. The company is also in discussion with several online and offline companies engaged in the traditional industries, such as food and consumer product sectors.

LINE is releasing Lil’ SnapPea, a brand new sticker character based on the Wandoujia mascot. In exchange, Wandoujia app store which has over 200 million users in China, will give top placement to LINE when it is launched on the platform this fall.
