Coolpad, a leading smartphone manufacturer in China, is launching a smartwatch today. Named CWatch, the gadget is not designed by Coolpad itself but a startup incubated by the Media Lab (Shenzhen) of Hunan University. The development team used to work at the Nokia’s Shenzhen-based innovation center.

The watch is pretty much a Pebble clone, with e-paper display, using Bluetooth, connecting to iOS and Android devices. It receives text messages and incoming call alerts. Also it monitors sleep, count running steps, among others.
