Okay. So everyone now is tracking steps, their sleep, their weight or even their snoring condition with wearable tech. Some people are starting to think about having one (like me) and some are thinking about making a new one!
Today we are introducing a new wearable tech product Sense-U, which started itself on the crowd-funding platform Indiegogo and has already raised over $100,000 so far.
One thing different about Sense-U is that it cares more about the user himself/herself. This product called itself the world’s first all-in-one activity tracker to connect family. Apart from the Sense-U user community, it also tries to build the closer family community with the bond of this tech device.
For the elderly in your family, it detects dangerous situations, such as sudden falls, or long periods of inactivity and sends warning messages to other family members or any third party. For the kids in your family, it can help monitor their posture while sitting or standing and actively provides feedback to improve that.
For yourself, Sense-U is a clip to your shirt, backpack or anywhere you want it to stay put so it records your sleep, activity and exercises.
The founder Huang He was a Yale graduate and is now building his team in the Valley including professionals from Frog Design, Google, Broadcom, Microsoft, Ogilvy and Publicis. Currently the pre-order price it offered is $99.98, which will soon be available in both the US and China markets.
The idea of connecting family members through a healthy bond sounds like a great idea that Chinese customers would buy, but will this price be competitive in both markets still remains to be seen. Good luck to Sense-U.
