Estonian mobile payments solution provider Fortumo announced today direct carrier billing with SingTel, the Singaporean operator with presence in 26 countries.
Fortumo helps Web/mobile developers collect payments through carrier billing. The one-click in-app payment solution doesn’t require users to do anything or wait for text messages to complete payment process. Fortumo takes transaction-based fees.
It now supports desktop applications, Web services, and HTML5, Android, Windows Phone and Windows 8 apps.
Prior to this deal the company had had 300 mobile operators in 80 countries on board. That includes the three telcos in China and others in a handful of Asian countries, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam and India.
