As you may know, WeChat has released APIs that official accounts are able to have sophisticated features and then work like web apps. A couple of months ago Tencent launched Fengling, a set of tools for building WeChat Official Account apps. But it’s not that every official account owner is capable of developing those features. Accounts with cool features may want to reach more WeChat users.

Dozens of third-party services have emerged to meet the two needs of WeChat Official Accounts’. Now Tencent released WeChat Cloud for those third-party businesses.

Services like Weigouyi — a solution for mobile shopping services, Weimob — a WeChat-based CRM solution provider, Weixin Kaka — a WeChat marketing service, and a couple of others have joined WeChat Cloud.

WeChat Cloud, actually, isn’t developed by the 300+ person team but the Cloud division of Tencent — it won’t be surprising that eventually every division of Tencent’s will build custom services of the existing services for WeChat. Tenpay, Tencent’s online payment service, has helped build WeChat Payment. Fengling was also built by a division outside WeChat.
