Zimly, a South Korean app by startup Nomad Connection, is an all-in-one media player for digital devices, allowing users to store media files on the cloud and stream across different media devices such as smartphones, tablets and PCs.
The biggest advantage of Zimly is that it supports every media format available – Be it MP3, 3GP, MP4, or AVI, Zimly supports them all and converts the files automatically according to the device used to play them. Subtitles are also supported on video files. The app also doubles up as a music player, and allows users to browse through their music by categories, such as album, artist or song title.
The app will soon be featured on Google Chromecast, allowing users to stream videos from their PC to a big-screen TV. Users simply need to download the Zimly app for their PC and input a PIN to connect Zimly with their Android or iOS device, before connecting to Chromecast. Zimly also allows content to be streamed without having to store the content on your device.
