mo9 (moKredit), the Chinese credit service provider for mobile games and virtual goods, has raised Series C funding from Ventech China to expand from mobile gaming to digital sectors such as video streaming, digital lottery tickets and social networks.

Essentially a mobile payments service, mo9 allows gamers to โ€œplay now, pay laterโ€. As mo9 expands it further areas, it will enable users to โ€œwatch/read/listen now, pay laterโ€ as well as to โ€œbuy now, pay laterโ€.

Founded by former PayPal American engineers in 2011, mo9 previously focused on markets outside mainland China. But recently the company were shifting focus to mainland China. The previous two rounds of funding were from Sequoia Capital China and Bertelsmann Asia Investments.
