The 2018 Asia Hardware Battle in Delhi and Mumbai was a huge success.

The battle was held at ONE Co.Work, a partner of TechNode and co-organizer of Asia Hardware Battle 2018 India. After several rounds of fierce competition, we finally selected the top 5 hardware startups to qualify for the India Finals in Delhi before pitting the best of India at the grand final round of Asia Hardware Battle in Shanghai.

In this competition, five startups rose above all the others and proved extraordinary through a series of stringent evaluation and step-by-step screening by several prominent judges: Mr. Manu Rikhye (Managing Director at GrowX Ventures), Mr. Gaurav Kachru (Founder and Managing Partner at 5ideas Startup Superfuel), Mr. Arpit Agarwal (Principal at Blume Ventures), Mr. Sanjay Gupta (Angel Investor & Founder at mobiSolv), Mr. Rajesh Sawhney (Founder and CEO at GSF Accelerator and GSF Superangels and Co-founder at InnerChef).

Delhi

Winner: Tesseract—Holoboard

Holoboard headset in 3 different editions

Holoboard is the world’s first markerless augmented reality headset that works with any smartphone. By just using the smartphone’s front camera, Holoboard’s built-in 3D tracking and mapping software understands the world around you so that you can place holograms anywhere you want. Combined with a wide field of view of 90 degrees, holograms appear natural and life-like. It also allows you to collaborate with your colleagues, leave notes for your loved ones, or play games with your friends. Using the AR Cloud, all holographic experiences can be shared across devices and resumed from where you left off.

Runner-up: Test RightPrizm+

Prizm+ (patent pending) introduces some of the best features in its category previously offered only in bulky and expensive benchtop spectrophotometers.

Prizm+ (patent pending) is a portable and affordable visible light spectrophotometer with fluorescence capabilities. It can measure absorbance between 400 nm to 750 nm and analyze results. TestRight’s Spectrometry Software walks you through the process of calibration, performing a full spectrum scan, determining the optimum wavelength for study, and can be used for concentration and kinetics experiments. The software is available for Windows and Ubuntu operating systems. It can be used in education, industrial work, and research.

Third Place: Zeolr TechnologiesRespirON

RespirON is a smart metered dose inhaler (MDI), which helps Asthma/COPD patients track and monitor their pulmonary health and their medicinal compliance.

RespirON is a smart metered dose inhaler (MDI) for Asthma and COPD patients to help them manage better with their regime and conditions by pairing with their smartphones. Some features include: usage monitoring for health analysis, the volume of medicine left, find your inhaler, reminders, an out-of-range notification, and doctors can have real-time data about their patients.

Mumbai

Runner up: Magnes Motors—Magnes ION

Magnes ION is India’s vertically developed and integrated Electric Go-Kart.

Magnes Motors India Pvt. Ltd. is an electric automotive startup based out of Mumbai. Its first product is Magnes ION, a first-of-a-kind Electric Go-Kart. It boasts efficient drive train, is safe, and produces high performance up to a top speed of 65km/h. It is designed with an energy damping mechanism, adjustable pedal assembly, and a wireless kart control system.
