According to Sina Science and Technology, Sogou Search and Sogou Map launched the “Confirmed patients in my community” search feature, making it convenient for users to quickly understand the epidemic situation of their surroundings.

The user only needs to search for related keywords such as “coronavirus” in Sogou search or click on the relevant button on the homepage to enter the “National Real-time Epidemic Monitor” page and click “Patients’ Neighbourhoods Inquiry”.

At present, this function has supported the inquiries for 91 cities that have officially released relevant authority information across the country and will continue to be updated.

This function is based on the data integration, and data analysis capabilities of Sogou Search and Sogou Maps, as well as the summary of the community epidemic notifications issued by agencies such as the Health and Health Commission for users to quickly find out whether there are confirmed cases in their surrounding neighborhoods.

Prior to this, Tencent Maps also launched the “New Coronavirus Outbreak Community Inquiry” function. Users can inquire about the situation of the epidemic area with one click on the Tencent Maps application page.
