The inaugural Origin Innovation Awards by TechNode Global is calling for nominations before August 31, with the aim of celebrating the spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship across the APAC region.
Our work at TechNode Global has always been focused on connecting APAC markets. We place great emphasis on recognizing leaders who have had an impact on the tech ecosystem in one way or another.
This year, the Origin Innovation Awards introduces four main categories: Startups Awards, Digital Transformation Awards, Ecosystem Enablers Awards, and Movers & Shakers Awards. Submit your nomination today!
The Movers & Shakers Awards recognize individuals who have shown great leadership, dedicated themselves to the startup community, and given back by mentoring and serving as a resource in a peer-to-peer environment.
TechNode Global presents five Movers & Shakers Awards:
- Outstanding Female VC (individual)
- Promising Female Founder (individual)
- Founder of the Year (individual)
- Best Sustainable Solution (company entity/solution)
- Resilience Award (company entity/solution)
The technology industry is widely recognized as being male-dominated. Although the bro-tech stereotype still prevails, an increasing number of initiatives and programs introduced by universities and workplaces encouraging women to pursue careers in technology have emerged.
These programs are extremely important. Leadership effectiveness ratings of women versus men were the most pronounced in information technology, where women had a percentile score of 52.1 compared to 42 for men, according to a study by leadership firm Zenger Folkman.
The Outstanding Female VC and Promising Female Founder awards celebrate the digital advancement and business acumen of female leaders in the APAC region, and advocate for women forging ahead in innovation.
The Best Sustainable Solution award recognizes companies/solutions that have developed solutions to serve a greater cause (e.g. social, cultural, or environmental issues), bringing benefits to the community-at-large.
In light of the significant impact on businesses and the economy during the Covid-19 crisis, a special Resilience Award will be given out to acknowledge companies/solutions that have proven capable of fighting the pandemic.

How you can get involved
The Movers & Shakers Awards are open for both public nominations and self-nominations. Please note that the nominees must be based in the APAC region. Submit your entries before August 31.

- Nominations: June 1 – August 31
- Advisory Committee review: September 1 – October 31
- Origin Summit x Origin Innovation Awards: December 2020 – January 2021
