Shenzhen-listed tech company Soyea Technology launched a 5G eSIM case to be used for the Huawei P50 Pro on Tuesday. Launched in July 2021, the phone previously only supported 4G cellular networks, due to sanctions from the US. With the eSIM case, the phone will support 5G networks from the three major telecom operators in China without a physical SIM card. China Unicom will initially take on the exclusive sale of this case. The 5G case will be available in June, priced at RMB 799 ($118). [Soyea Technology, in Chinese]
