Major Chinese delivery firm SF Express got the permit to trade data on Guiyang Big Data Exchange, 36Kr reported on Wednesday. The exchange is China’s first state-backed data exchange and was launched in 2015. SF express can now trade its data products and services on the exchange, offering services like verifying place of residence. China has hoped to attract tech and other companies to trade data on exchanges set up by regional governments. Those efforts have yet to form a robust market. [36Kr, in Chinese]
