Chinese electric vehicle maker BYD announced on Thursday that it will roll-out passenger cars for the Japanese market within the coming months, with its Atto 3 electric crossover available to order in the country from January, 2023. Another two popular EV models, a sedan called Seal and a hatchback called Dolphin, will be launched later next year. The Warren Buffett-backed auto giant has established a foothold in Japan by selling electric buses since 2015, with a target of selling 4,000 e-buses in the country by 2030. [BYD release]
