Alibaba’s logistics arm Cainiao is adding 100,000 temporary workers ahead of an anticipated delivery rush for Singles Day 2022, China’s biggest online shopping festival. Home delivery and “green logistics” are the focus of this year’s Singles Day services for Cainiao, the firm has claimed, as it looks to promote nearly 100,000 “Cainiao Post” pick-up stations across the country where it says express packaging recycling and the reuse of old packaging will be handled.
