Tesla China reportedly saw 300,000 order placements in three days after it announced steep price cuts. The company refused to comment on the matter when reached by Chinese media outlet The Beijing News. Tesla announced significant price cuts for the Model 3 and Model Y lineup in China on Jan. 6. The Model 3’s starting price dropped RMB 36,000 ($5,314) to RMB 229,900, and the Model Y dropped RMB 29,000 to start at RMB 259,900.
