Chinese EV giant BYD’s total new energy vehicles (NEVs, a Chinese term that include electric vehicles and plug-in hybrids) sales reached 253,046 units in June, with a cumulative sales volume of 1.25 million units so far in 2023, a yearly growth of 96%. BYD sold 251,685 passenger vehicles in June, of which 128,196 units were pure electric vehicles and 123,489 were plug-in hybrids. BYD’s overseas NEV sales in June totaled 10,536 units.
