Temu, the PDD-owned value-oriented shopping site that’s widely seen as a rival to Shein, has launched a Slack-like workplace communication tool designed predominantly for Temu merchants. The enterprise tool features instant messages, voice and video calls, and calendar functions, and is now available in app stores. In July, Temu made a foray into Japan, the first time it has entered an Asian market since its launch in the US last September. The ultra-low-cost e-commerce platform is aggressively expanding outside of China, and its affiliated communication platform, designed to help companies work more efficiently, adds office tools to its portfolio of products.
