Honor has confirmed that its Robot Phone will launch in August, bringing a four-degree-of-freedom mechanical gimbal to the top of a smartphone. The titanium-alloy gimbal uses miniature motors, with a volume that is 70% smaller than mainstream solutions, according to the company.
The phone will use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip and introduce the core of Honor’s AgenticOS multimodal agent operating system. Honor has also opened reservations for the device, whose camera module can move independently from the phone body. [IT Home, in Chinese]
