TikTok is testing a paid microdrama app called LimeShorts in the US, with the test starting in March. Users can pay $20 per week or $200 per year for full access, or buy virtual coins to unlock individual episodes.
The app focuses on one- to five-minute vertical dramas across genres including comedy, romance and mystery. Its content currently comes from third-party partners.
