WeChat’s official account WeChat Pai has said that its Moments platform will never add an edit-after-posting function. The statement was published on Aug. 14 in an article titled “Why doesn’t Moments have an edit function?”
The explanation said a Moments post records what a user was thinking or feeling at a particular moment, and that changing it later would not alter what other users had already seen. Users can still adjust the audience for a published post. If a post contains a typo or the wrong image, they can delete it and use the “re-edit” option to repost the original text and images.
