Ford’s all-new Transit City electric commercial van has rolled off the line at Jiangling Motors’ Xiaolan plant in Nanchang, with about 1,000 vehicles set to be shipped overseas. The model is Ford China’s first battery-electric commercial vehicle intended for developed markets such as Europe.
Co-developed by Ford China, Ford’s global engineering teams and Jiangling, the van uses a 56-kilowatt-hour LFP battery and a 110-kilowatt front motor, with a claimed WLTP range of up to 254 kilometers and payload of up to 1,600 kilograms.
