Meituan has opened a low-altitude delivery network in Shanghai’s West Bund and launched China’s first dedicated drone-delivery route for a restaurant brand in partnership with McDonald’s.
The network connects several venues in the West Bund area and currently includes nearly 20 restaurant chains, with more than 40 expected by the end of the year. Meituan says the fastest deliveries can arrive in 10 minutes, using its fourth-generation M-Drone 4L Winch, M-Port 3 drone ports and M-DaaS 3 scheduling system. [NBD, in Chinese]
