Apple’s second beta of iOS 27.2 adds a “Restrict Motion Data” control under Settings > Privacy & Security > Motion & Fitness. The setting lets users block individual apps from accessing motion sensors such as the accelerometer and gyroscope.
The feature could reduce apps’ ability to trigger “shake-to-open” ad redirects, a common complaint among Chinese users. The option reportedly appears only when the device is signed in with a mainland China App Store account. Apple has not said whether it is specifically targeting shake-based ads, and the feature could still change before the final release. [IT Home, in Chinese]
