XPENG is opening its proprietary vehicle technologies and engineering capabilities to global partners through its XPENG AI Engineering business. Chairman and CEO He Xiaopeng outlined the initiative at the Paris Automotive Summit, extending the company’s technology partnerships across vehicle development and production.

The offering covers vehicle platforms, electrical and electronic architecture, batteries, electric drivetrains and engineering tools. Partners can also access technologies including XPENG’s AI BOX, Turing AI chip and physical-world foundation model.

XPENG said the approach allows partners to jointly develop differentiated products while building their own technical capabilities. He highlighted the company’s existing collaboration with Volkswagen as an example, combining XPENG’s software and intelligent-driving capabilities with Volkswagen’s vehicle engineering and testing expertise.
