ByteDance’s cloud platform Volcano Engine released Seedance 2.5 4K on October 23, targeting film and television production with higher-resolution video generation. The company said additional training improves the rendering of facial expressions, subtle movements and visual details. The model is currently available for trials by selected enterprise customers.
A Draft mode allows users to test shots and refine storyboards with lower-cost 480p previews before generating a final 4K version. The model also supports 10-bit color and is designed to preserve image quality, colors and fine details when working with reference materials or editing existing footage.
